Privacy Policy - Laser Name Helper

Last updated: 2026

Laser Name Helper is EtchLab's sign-up and queue-management tool for in-person laser engraving events. This page explains what information the app touches and how it is used.

What information is collected

When someone signs up at an event, the sign-up page collects only what is needed to run the queue: the item they chose, their color and font choice (if offered), what they want engraved, and a name to identify them at pickup. An optional phone number may also be collected if the event organizer chooses to ask for one.

Where the information is stored

All sign-up information is stored in a Google Sheet inside the event organizer's own Google Drive - not on any server we operate, and not in any database we control. The organizer's Google account owns and controls that data at all times.

What the app's Google permissions are used for

When an event organizer signs in with Google, the app requests permission to:

The app does not read, access, or modify any other files in the organizer's Google Drive, and does not access Gmail, Contacts, or any other Google service.

Who can see this information

Only the event organizer (and anyone they choose to share their Google Sheet with) can see sign-up data. We do not access, sell, or share this information with any third party.

Data retention and deletion

Since all data lives in the organizer's own Google Sheet, they can delete it at any time the same way they would delete any other Google Sheet - the app does not keep a separate copy anywhere.
